The name Badiya comes from the Arabic word for "al-Badiya," the area where the Bedouins live in the desert. The business is female-owned and started out of a passion for living life in color and celebrating diverse cultures. We are proud to create beautiful items that also tell a good story. We started with kimonos that we make in magical India because it has the most beautiful fabrics in the world. We have created connections and relationships with talented artists and family factories to make sure that everyone receives a fair wage and that we receive fine goods. Over the years, many more items have been added to the various collections because the abundance of colors and materials is simply addictive and mesmerizing. So we have jackets, bags, home accessories, and all kinds of joyful handmade things that you won't see anywhere else :)
